Iron grows stronger still in the latest balance update!

The Iron Hands rise again, amped by their newest Warlord! It has been a while since the Iron Hands received some attention in a balance update, so it was about time the scions of Medusa were enhanced a bit. For the most part, these changes aim to make their mid-game plays more impactful, forging a path towards their big endgame. These changes are not yet live, but will become available as soon as possible.

The fight for Beta-Garmon continues, and the imperial forces are starting to feel the strain of the fight. After an explosive month in High Terra, the White Scars are being toned down a bit with changes aimed at a particularly uninteractive decklist, which often provoked frustrating and unfun games. Other factions are also seeing small nerfs, targeted at some of the Warlords who have consistently reached the top of the ranks during the last months. Take a look at the full list of changes below:

White Scars

  • Legionary Kuglai: Changed description to “Rally: Return a random friendly troop to your hand” (now returns a random troop)
  • Dark Son: Changed description to “When a friendly troop returns to your hand, deals 1 damage to all enemies” (was 1–2 damage)
  • Bahan Khan: Changed description to “Resolution: Deal 1 damage to a random enemy for each card played this turn” (was 2 damage)
  • Sons of Chogoris: Changed description to “Deal 2 damage to a troop. Streak: Deal 2 more” (was flat 3 damage)
  • Brotherhood of the Black Axe: Changed description to “Draw a troop from your deck. Impulse: Lower its cost by 2” (was Choose a troop)

Agents of the Sigillite

  • Iota: Lowered Initiative from High to Medium
  • M’Shen: Increased ability cost from 1 to 2
  • Sigillite’s Chosen: Changed description to “Give +2/+2 and Survivor 3 to a friendly Astartes or Infantry” (was +3/+3)

Chaos

  • Cthonian Transport: Changed description to “Traitor Auxilia. Backlash: Draw and put in play an Infantry from your deck that costs 3 or less” (was 2 Infantry)

Night Lords

  • Mors Umbra: Changed description to “Rally: Deal 2–3 damage to two random enemies” (was flat 3 damage)
  • Raddesk Squad: Lowered Attack from 5 to 4
  • Nightblade Rhino: Lowered Health from 5 to 4

Blood Angels

  • Nassir Amit: Changed description to “Berzerk. Requiem: Deal 1 damage to a random unit” (can now target self)
  • Ofanim Yargos: Changed description to “Avenge (3): Gains +2/+2” (was Avenge 2)

Iron Hands

  • Medusa: Changed description to “Draw 3 cards. For each Iron Hands troop drawn, create a random Augmetic in your hand and lower their cost by 1”
  • Thunderhawk Drop: Changed description to “Put in play a random Iron Hands Vehicle that costs 7 or more. It gains Flank”
  • Ancient Morn: Changed description to “Relentless and Pride: Lower by 1 the cost of Vehicles in your hand and deck”
  • Ironshield Rhino: Changed description to “Pride: Put in play Legionary Halberk and give it +1/0”
  • Legionary Rytlaar: Lowered ability cost from 1 to 0
  • Medusan Immortals: Lowered ability cost from 1 to 0
  • Bellicarian Predator: Lowered ability cost from 2 to 1
