No matter if they commanded a Legion of Astartes, a Taghmata or a platoon of soldiers, exploiting the superior power of each soul at one’s command has always proved to shed a light towards triumph. Plus, having cannon fodder at your disposal is always useful.
Get ready to update your deck with new neutral support for the Imperial Army, Mechanicum and Chaos factions! Become the boon or bane of your own Crusade and complement your deck’s strategy this Friday, the 26th. Read on to find out all that’s coming!
Cards that are leaving the Standard rotation
All cards from the Caliban expansion will now be Legacy-exclusive, and you will need to update decks that include any of these cards before being able to play them in Standard games. This rotation includes the whole Defenders of Caliban faction.
Also, a subset of Mechanicum cards will have their faction changed into Dark Mechanicum to better fit the theme of the card. You can find the whole list in the reveal schedule web post. As with cards leaving the Standard rotation, any decks containing these cards will be marked, and will need to be updated before playing them.
Crusade expansion crates
With December 26th’s release, all of the main batches of content in the Crusade expansion will have joined the game, and, as per usual, Crusade crates will become available in the shop. Each one of these crates contains five cards from the expansion, with at least one being Rare or higher quality. This means that by purchasing these crates, you will be able to collect the new Dark Angels, Dark Mechanicum and Knight Houses, as well as the new set of neutral cards from the Imperial Army, Mechanicum and Chaos factions.
How to collect the new neutral cards
With the final major card drop of the expansion making its way into the game, there are now many ways to collect the new cards! Take a look:
- The new Crusade expansion crates contain 5 cards from the Tempest card set, at least one of them rare or better.
- Get amazing value with a time-limited crate deal, including 20 Crusade crates plus a guaranteed Legendary card from the Crusade expansion. This offer will only be available until Tuesday, the 30th at 9 AM UTC.
- Take advantage of the current Battle Pass! Select any of the new factions as your preferred faction in the Reward Track screen and start collecting them through card rewards. Unlock the Premium Pass to get even more rewards, including Legendary cards, cosmetics and a NEW WARLORD!
- Play the event and fill your collection! Each reward crate in the new ‘’Battle of the Ultinian Rings” event has at least 1 Crusade card.
- Check out the Daily shop! Every day, there will be at least one new card for sale with gems for a limited time. Keep your eyes open!
New event: Battle of Diamat
After learning of Horus’ betrayal, The Lion’s first move was to deny the traitor forces of Diamat’s supplies. However, the Dark Angels would discover that the Warmaster’s reach spread further than they had anticipated.
Don’t miss this chance to play with the new cards in the release event! Every event reward crate contains at least one card from the Crusade expansion. Remember that you can earn a free event run by completing the guaranteed “Win 3 games in Legacy, Practice or Ranked mode” daily mission. Take advantage of this reward and recruit fresh new cards just by playing!
