“We will quench our thirst with Mjod after the hunt.”

– Leman Russ

Fenrys Hjolda!

Tooth and claw, fang and axe. Even though most of their brother Legions rule them out as nothing but savages, the Space Wolves are among the most staunchly loyal and ruthless warriors in the Imperium. Theirs is a culture of predator and prey, of hunt or be hunted. Yet, the Wolves of Fenris earned the honour to be the Emperor’s executioners not without reason, and now they will take His fight to the battlefields of Warhammer The Horus Heresy: Legions!

The Space Wolves enter the game tomorrow 23rd May as the first new Legion released in the Inferno expansion, with renewed art and mechanics. Get ready to howl into battle and strike down the enemies of the Imperium with primal strength. The bones have been cast, and the omens bode well. The time has come to begin the hunt.

New keyword: Hunt

Upholding the culture and traditions from their homeplanet of Fenris, the Space Wolves developed a particular expertise in hunter-killer operations. Once these predators catch their prey’s scent, there is nothing that will stop them from capturing their quarry. The new “Hunt” keyword aims to represent these hunter-killer tactics with these Astartes squads hunting as a pack of wolves, hurting an enemy numerous times without killing it before delivering the final blow.

Units with “Hunt” trigger an effect when the hunting unit attacks an enemy, but does not kill them. This effect will trigger even if the attacking unit is destroyed in the process. If the “Hunt” effect would heal the unit enough to avoid death it will still not be enough, and the unit will be destroyed anyway. From drawing cards to deploying new units on the battlefield, “Hunt” provides useful effects that will require tactical thinking and threat assesment from the players as they try to optimize their attacks. Get ready to lead the pack!

Space Wolves Warlords

Many are the Space Wolves warriors worthy of the Sagas of old, but among them, three will be leading the Legion’s relentless siege on the battlefields of Horus Heresy: Legions:

  • Hvarl Redblade: Renowned for his scourging tactics, Hvarl openly encourages competition among his warriors in battle.
  • Geigor Fell-Hand: Particularly hateful of the Thousand Sons, Geigor pushed for the Legion to be slaughtered.
  • Leman Russ: Dauntlessly loyal, the Emperor trusted him to undertake any mission or campaign, no matter how brutal the fighting.

New Twitch Drops campaign

With the Inferno expansion, we are introducing Twitch Drops into Warhammer The Horus Heresy: Legions! Twitch Drops are a fantastic way to earn additional rewards simply by enjoying Legions content on Twitch. We will soon upload a guide regarding this new feature and how to use it, so stay tuned!

New event: Tooth and Claw

A new timed event will allow all players to play with the Space Wolves in draft mode. There are precedents of Primarchs clashing in battle even before the outburst of Horus’ rebellion. At the end of the Dulan campaign, the sight of Leman’s prey being slain by the Lion was the start of an all-out brawl between the two brothers, accompanied by their retinues.

Remember to complete the guaranteed “Win 3 matches” daily mission to unlock a free event run every day and kickstart your Space Wolves collection. Every reward crate in the event contains at least 1 of the new cards!

The new Space Wolves enter the fray on 23rd May! Are you ready to tear the Galaxy asunder with your howl?
