The Emperor’s Children surely know how to make an entrance. March’s competitive season has been marked by the excess characteristic of Fulgrim’s Legion, with them attaining worrying amounts of victories all across the board.

This balance update aims to reduce the pressure that the new Emperor’s Children collection can apply with very high consistency. The new Death Guard and the Chaos neutral faction also receive a small number of changes. Take a look at the complete list:

EMPEROR’S CHILDREN

  • Lucius: Ability changed to ‘When you trigger Perfection, gain +1/0 this turn.’ (instead of ‘until next turn’)
  • Iddinam Outriders: Change description to ‘Fast. Perfection: Gain +1/0’ (instead of gaining +2/0)
  • Caeran Jetbikes: Lower stats from 3/3 to 2/3
  • Luastus Squad: Lower stats from 3/4 to 3/3
  • Sergeant Coryn: Change description to ‘Rally: Deal 2 damage. Perfection: Also Stun the target’ (instead of dealing 3 damage)
  • Phoenix Terminators: Change description to ‘Front Line. Perfection: Your Warlord gains Shield’ (instead of triggering on Resolution)
  • Skill Unmatched: Change description to ‘Deal 4 damage. Perfection: Deal 1 additional damage’ (instead of 2 additional damage)
  • Call the Reserves: Change description to ‘Choose an Emperor’s Children Vehicle and add it to your hand. Perfection: Also lower its cost by 1’ (instead of lowering cost by 2)

DEATH GUARD

  • Raccom Squad: Increase stats from 1/2 to 1/3, and change ability to ‘Backlash: Deal 1 damage to a random enemy’ (instead of 2 damage)
  • Succumb to Decay: Increase cost from 4 to 5
  • Living Plague: Increase cost from 3 to 4

CHAOS

  • Escape Vent: Increase cost from 0 to 1
