The new balance update imbues Warlords with new zeal!

There is no respite in the Horus Heresy! The constantly changing battlefield means one must always be aware of their surroundings and be ready to adapt. With the fires of battle now burning brighter than ever, the many Warlords of the Horus Heresy return to the battlefield with newfound zeal, ready to take down their enemies!

In this month’s balance update, we focus the changes on Warlords. Besides reining in the neutral menaces that threatened the highest echelons of Terra, we are giving a push to Warlords that have not been featured in meta reports for a while. Check out all the changes below!

Neutral card adjustments

Mechanicum

  • Arkhan Land: Increase ability cost from 1 to 2

Chaos

  • Hammerblade (Infernus Abomination‘s special): Lower buff from +2/0 to +1/0.
  • Baleful Assembly: Change description to: ‘Lower the cost of all Chaos troops in your hand and deck to 1’
  • Blessing of the Four: Change description to: ‘Give a Mark of Chaos to your non-Daemon troops, two times. -1 cost when a friendly troop dies’ (Instead of 3 times)

Warlord Overhaul

  • Agapito Nev: Increase initiave from Medium to High
  • Greater Destiny (Amendera Kendel‘s special): Lower the cost from 2 to 0
  • Azkaellon: Increase initiave from Medium to High
  • Einherjar (Bjorn‘s special): Change description to ‘Choose a Space Wolves Astartes and put it in your hand. It costs 1 less’
  • Debeeran Kalimakon: Change ability to ‘(2) Draw a card. Next time, give +1/+2 to two random troops in your hand’
  • Rogal Dorn: Now starts with Bastion 5
  • Rogal Dorn’s Reckoning: Lower the cost from 25 to 20
  • Dreagher: Increase Cleave from 1 to 2
  • Death by Noise (Eidolon‘s special): Lower the cost from 4 to 1
  • Erasmus Ruuman: Increase initiave from Low to Medium
  • Fafnir Rann: Change description to (1) Gain +1/0 and increase the cost of this ability by 1 this turn. Can act again
  • Hadrabulus Vioss: Increase attack from 1 to 2
  • Horus Aximand: Increase initiave from Medium to High
  • Jenetia Krole: Now has an active ability: ‘(2) Deal 1 damage, if target dies draw a card’
  • Kharn: Change ability to ‘(2) Gain Bloodthirst until the end of your next turn’
  • Eightfold Path (Kharn‘s special): Change description to ‘(3) Give a Mark of Chaos to your World Eaters troops’
  • Meros: Lower ability cost from 2 to 1
  • Nerat Kirine: Change ability to ‘(2) Deal 2 damage. If target dies, copy a card from the enemy deck’ (instead of 1 damage)
  • Nomus Rhytan: Increase initiave from Low to Medium
  • Sheed Ranko: Change ability to ‘(2) Choose an Operative and put it in your hand. It costs 1 less’
  • Sigismund: Increase initiave from Medium to High. Lower the cost of ability from 2 to 1

All of these changes are now live! Assemble your deck and prepare for a new month full of challenges and rewards in the ranked ladder. Will you try to climb the ladder with a new Warlord this month?
