What’s new in the 4th Anniversary update? Prestige Levels!

Your actions today will become legend.

Emperor of Mankind

After four long years of constant warfare, a major update is coming to Horus Heresy: Legions on 17th March 2022! In this post, we look at the first of several new features that will be released in this update: Prestige Levels!

Just as many famous Astartes made their name during the Horus Heresy, many players have proven their dedication and skill by raising their experience level to 100, the maximum anyone could achieve up till now. With this new update, that level cap is gone forever, and players will now be able to seek further glory and gain Prestige Levels which allow to stand out among their battle-brothers.

The Prestige System

When a player rises up to level 100, they will now gain a Prestige Level, which grants them a special distinction to show next to their name throughout the game, in the form of one to five Skulls of increasing quality. They will also earn a special Promotion Crate with a guaranteed legendary card and other great rewards.

After earning a Prestige Level, they start again from level 1 and fight to reach level 100 and the next Prestige Level, collecting reward crates every time they level up as usual. Unlike the first 100 levels, the experience needed to level up past the first Prestige promotion remains constant.

Showing off your Prestige

Service studs, usually in the form of skulls, were a common sight amongst the Legions to declare length of service. A similar method will be used to display Prestige levels.

When a player Prestiges for the first time, they will be rewarded with Bronze I. The next time they Prestige, it increases to Bronze II, up to Bronze V. After this point, it will move to Silver, then Gold, and then Diamond.

This veterancy will be shown on your profile, home page, and also in battle against your enemies, to show them your experience and skill!

This is just one of several new features in the upcoming update on 17th March! Stay tuned for more news on the 4th Anniversary update, watch the teaser on Youtube and discuss the news with other players on social media.
