“Change is inevitable”

– Caipha Morarg

The Death Guard joined their traitor brother Legions orbiting Terra when the Siege was ongoing, but they were nonetheless the first of the traitor Legions that set foot on Terra. Harbingers of pestilence, they sowed sorrow and malice wherever they went, and became the foundations on which the traitor plan could become a success.

Reapers of Life

The Death Guard fell to the service of the Ruinous Powers way before the Horus Heresy, but it wasn’t until the galactic civil war started that this servitude was “rewarded”. In a journey through the Immaterium, the influence of Nurgle started affecting Mortarion and his sons, transforming them into the hulking Plague Marines that landed on Terra during the Siege.

Calas Typhon had been one of the main culprits of the Death Guard’s fall to chaos, and he now listened to but one master: Nurgle, the ancient foul god of disease. This created a power struggle inside the Legion, dividing it into those who supported Typhon and those who rallied under the banner of Mortarion, their Primarch. Caipha Morarg, Equerry to Mortarion and one of those who were unsure of their newfound gifts, was caught in the middle of this power struggle.

The Skeptic Warrior

Caipha Morarg fought besides Mortarion before the Primarch was rediscovered by the Emperor. After his time in Barbarus, he became a member of the 24th Breacher Squad, and eventually rose to become an Equerry to the Primarch. By the Siege of Terra, Caipha had become one of the cornerstones for the Legion’s plan.

Follow him as the Death Guard becomes the bane of the Imperium during the Battle of Terra. Face those who vowed to protect the False Emperor, defeat those that used to be your brothers in battle and become what your Legion needs you to be.
