“A beautiful day to craft delicious agony.”
– Fulgrim
Inspired by the arrival of a new Warlord into their ranks, the Emperor’s Children collection is bolstered in this month’s balance update! Fulgrim’s Legion marches towards its natural habitat (the spotlight) with many tweaks to its troop’s stat lines and to make its epic cards feel… well, epic. At the same time, the Ultramarines are hampered after being overextended in the front lines.
Last month’s main protagonist, Lucretia, also receives a pretty major change to rein in her dominance of High Terra’s meta. Check out all the changes below.

Emperor’s Children
- Sergeant Abdelis: Stats changed from 2/2 to 1/3.
- Narvo Quin: Healing increased from 2 to 3.
- Ancient Zhamar: Description changed to “Rally: Draw a Vehicle. Perfection: Lower the cost of all Vehicles in your hand and deck by 1.”
- Phoenix Warden: Now has Front Line.
- Julius Kaesoron: Description changed to “Rally: Give a Mark of Chaos to all your troops. Perfection: Repeat this effect.”
- Phoenix Guard: Description changed to “Front Line. When another friendly unit takes damage, gains 0/+1.”
- Foul Experiments: Cost lowered from 4 to 3.
- Tactical Excellence: Description changed to “Your Warlord gains ‘Your first card each turn costs 1 less.’ Draw a Tactic.”
Ultramarines
- Honour of Ithraca: No longer reduces the cost of Astartes drawn.
- Otavio Theldor: Description changed to “Strategy: Give +1/+1 to your troops; or Deal 1-2 damage to enemy troops.”
- Ancient Tyrennius: Damage lowered from 1-2 to 1.
- Ancient Lastratus: Stats lowered from 6/8 to 5/7.
- Sons of Ultramar: Requirement increased from 8 to 10.
Imperial Army
- Lucretia Elunnirai: Changed description to: ‘Your first Solar Auxilia troop each turn costs 1 less. (2) Create a random Solar Auxilia in your hand’ (instead of all Solar Auxilia costing 1 less)
The new season has just begun! Prepare your deck for the new meta and start to fight your way up the ranked ladder!
