A Legion full of warriors and scholars, the Thousand Sons have devoted themselves to the study of their innate psychic abilities in order to master their powers. Theirs is a Legion whose primary methods of victory included the use of diplomatic guile and trickery. However, one would be a fool to underestimate them on the battlefield if these methods failed. The XVth Legion brothers were famed for the use of their own potent psychic gifts and sorcerous abilities to bring the enemies of Mankind into Compliance or to exterminate them altogether.
In a twisted turn of events, their once illustrious home planet of Prospero turned into one of the most cruel battlefields before the Horus Heresy had even begun. Sent by the Emperor and fooled by Horus, a whole host consisting of Space Wolves, Sisters of Silence and Custodians landed on Prospero, ready to exact the Emperor’s justice. The Thousand Sons enter the game tomorrow 7th June, with renewed art and mechanics. Are you ready to unleash your psychic prowess and protect Prospero from the invaders?
New Keyword: Arcana
The battle brothers of the XVth Legion are all trained in the mystic arts. The ability to coordinate strategies and communicate telepathically gives them an edge on the battlefield and allows them to unleash their psychic might in volleys of fire and fury.
Arcana is an ability available on Thousand Sons units that triggers every time you spend your psychic energy. This works both when paying for abilities and card costs. Deploy your Arcana units and call the signal to fire a cannonade of mystical assaults!
New Keyword: Focus
Mastery of the arcane arts allows the Thousand Sons to combine the more traditional arts of war with their forbidden knowledge to give them an extra push in battle. This is manifested in the game with the new Focus keyword.
You will see Focus appear on many Thousand Sons cards. When you play one of these cards, you will be able to choose if you want to pay the extra Focus cost using your accrued Psychic Energy. If you do, the played card will gain an additional effect.
Changes to the old Thousand Sons collection
The new Thousand Sons cards add a twist to the original collection with the new keywords and interactions. This made many of the older cards feel out of place, so to increase the cohesion of both Thousand Sons versions, we applied changes to cards that joined the game in the Prospero and Galaxy in Flames expansions. Remember that Thousand Sons cards from the Prospero expansion will rotate out of Standard and become Legacy-exclusive, but cards from the Galaxy in Flames expansion will still be playable in Standard.

Thousand Sons Warlords
Many are the Thousand Sons scholars worthy of commanding the Legion into the fray, but only a select few will be seen unleashing their psychic might on the battlefields of Warhammer The Horus Heresy: Legions:
- Magistus Amon: Said to have been Magnus’ tutor on Prospero, many believe he also serves as master of the ‘Hidden Ones’.
- Ahzek Ahriman: Magnus’ foremost apprentice, his talent in warpfcraft would lead him to play a pivotal role in the burning of Prospero.
- Magnus the Red: Possessed of a supreme intellect and an inquiring mind, Magnus sees himself and his Legion as shapers of the future.

HOW TO START COLLECTING THEM
There are many ways to collect Thousand Sons cards, especially during the first weeks after their release! Take a look at them:
- Thousand Sons faction crates contain 5 random cards, 3 of them guaranteed from the NEW Thousand Sons collection including a rare card or better, and the other 2 from all cards released so far in expansions from the Shadow of the Warmaster onwards.
- Get AMAZING VALUE with a time-limited bundle containing Magistus Amon, 15 Thousand Sons crates and an exclusive premium Card Back, available during the Legion’s release weekend.
- Take advantage of the current and upcoming Battle Pass! Select the Thousand Sons as your preferred faction AFTER THE LEGION IS RELEASED and start collecting them through card rewards. Unlock the Premium Pass to get even more rewards, including Legendary cards, exclusive cosmetics and new content!
- Play the new ‘The Emperor’s Wrath’ event pitting the Thousand Sons against the Space Wolves and fill your collection! Each reward crate in the event has at least 1 of the new legion’s cards.
- Check out the Daily shop! Every day there will be new cards for sale with gems for a limited time. Keep your eyes open!
NEW TWITCH DROPS CAMPAIGN
With the Inferno expansion we introduced Twitch Drops into Warhammer The Horus Heresy: Legions! Twitch Drops are a fantastic way to earn additional rewards simply by enjoying Legions content on Twitch, and the Thousand Sons’ release will also begin a new Twitch Drops campaign.

NEW EVENT: THE EMPEROR’S WRATH
A new timed event will allow all players to play with the Thousand Sons in draft mode. Sent by the Emperor and misled by Horus, the Space Wolves have landed on Prospero ready to punish Magnus and eradicate his Legion. Will Prospero’s forces be able to hold against the Imperium’s censure?
Remember to complete the guaranteed “Win 3 matches” daily mission to unlock a free event run every day and kickstart your Thousand Sons collection. Every reward crate in the event contains at least 1 of the new cards!
