Should you really trust those besides you?
Sheed Ranko
October has ended, a new Warmaster has taken the title and there’s a new competitive season on the go! As usual at the end of month of epic battles across a war-torn Galaxy, the stats are in. It’s time to look at the numbers from last month’s ranked season and check how the rankings in High Terra (rating 3800+) and Low Terra (rating 2500-3800) have evolved.
Low Terra
Continuing his stealthy infiltration from 9th position, Sheed Ranko takes top spot at Low Terra, casting the former champion down to 11th. Nerat Kirine loots his way from 3rd to 2nd, with the First Captain of the Iron Hands clawing his way up the ranking in 3rd. Khârn continues his rampage, jumping from 7th to 4th, with the fearsome Dark King, Konrad Curze, butchering his way from outside of the top 10, to round off the top five.
Guilliman, hot on the heels of his traitor brother Curze, takes 6th spot, while Caipha Morarg, fresh from the rejuvenating touch of Grandfather Nurgle, marches his way into a rather auspicious 7th position. Sigismund takes a hit, and drops to 8th spot, while Ka’Bandha soars to 9th, up from 35th last season. Raum, ever present in the top 10, only just manages to hold off Torgaddon and keep 10th to himself. Another notable shoutout to the Death Guard comes in the form of Mortarion, making a return to the top 15 for the first time in many seasons.

High Terra
Once more, the First Captain of the Alpha Legion takes the top spot with an impressive 7.5% use rate, although a lower win rate than some would expect. Khârn holds onto the 2nd spot, with Lucretia continuing her charge from 8th to 3rd, sporting a notable 60% win rate. Santar makes his return to the top 5 by climbing into 4th, and Questoris Ærthegn marches from 12th to round out the 5th position.
Sigismund remains stalwart in 6th, facing off against another duellist in Lucius, who stages a successful comeback after being absent from last month’s High Terra report in 7th. Nerat Kirine struggles to capture supplies, falling from 4th to 8th, while Nomus Rhy’tan roars his way from 17th to 9th. Another notable returning champion is Camba-Diaz, holding out in 10th position. Notable mention to Aerion Mersaror, hitting 11th position in his first season. It appears the most recent balance patch has stymied the domination of the Loyalist and Traitor Titan Legios, which almost entirely out of the top 20.

The Alpha Legion have managed to sabotage and sneak their way to dominance in both Terran arenas, but will their enemies become wise to their tactics? Several former meta report champions look to be making a come back, while others who would usually be seen as reliable top 10 contenders appear to be falling out of favour. With the promise of a new Knight Pilot joining the fight next week, how will the meta look next month?
