This month the Blood Angels rise against the enemies of the Imperium with notable balance changes mostly focused on their stats. The past few months have seen the rise of Neutral Warlords. While not all of them were highly represented, many boasted worrying win rates. This month’s balance update also brings changes to these Warlords and some other cards from the latest expansion. Check out the full list of changes below:
BLOOD ANGELS
- Archein of Wisdom: Change description to: ‘Choose 1 Blood Angels Tactic and add it to your hand. It costs 1 less’
- The Great Angel: Change active ability to: ‘Deal damage equal to your Attack to the enemy Warlord’
- Reckoning: Lower cost from 20 to 18
- Baal’s Fire: Increase attack from 2 to 3
- Furioso Squad: Increase Health from 3 to 4
- Lorator Squad: Increase attack from 5 to 6
- Fire of Heaven: Increase attack from 3 to 4
- Saevin Terminators: Increase attack from 4 to 5
- Praetor Galianus: Increase attack from 6 to 7
- Venerable Jophial: Change description to: ‘Shield. Front Line. Requiem: Give Survivor 2 to your Warlord’
- Judgement of Angels: Lower the cost from 2 to 1 and change description to ‘Give Flank to a friendly Astartes’ (no longer draws a card)
- Airlifted Reserves: Lower cost from 7 to 6
SPACE WOLVES
- Kodran Hunters: No longer has Ward
- Freki: Change description to: ‘Flank. Hunt: Heals 3 and gains +2/0’
- Kjarl Wyrdfang: Lower Health from 6 to 5
THOUSAND SONS
- Apothecary Aktera: Lower Health from 5 to 4
- Usirkar Squad: No longer has Psyker 1
- Sons of Prospero: Increase cost from 2 to 3
LEGIO CUSTODES
- Rothrian Constor: Lower Health from 4 to 3
- Cleomens Wardens: Lower Health from 6 to 5
- Darian Helsates: Lower attack from 6 to 5 and change description to: ‘Sentinel. Flank. Nemesis: Gain +2/0 this turn and First Strike’
- Ares Gunship: Change description to: ‘Deal 4 damage (Ordnance 4)’ (instead of 5 damage)
IMPERIAL ARMY
- Callidus Assassin: Change Warlord pool from ‘Ocram Adraan, Marius Vairosean, Fel Zharost, Lotara, Hellick Mauer, Israfael, Secutarii Axiarch and Kheron Ophion’ to ‘Ocram Adraan, Azael Konenos, Fel Zharost, Hierophant, Hellick Mauer, Israfael, Arkhan Land and Kheron Ophion’
- Prosperine Captain: Lower Health from 4 to 3
- Armoured Regiment: Change description to: ‘Create 3 random Imperial Army Vehicles in your hand. They cost 1 less’ (instead of 2 less)
- Prosperine Spireguard: Increase cost to 6
CHAOS
- Balthazzar Dupain: Change passive ability to ‘Give +1/0 to Traitor Auxilia troops you put in play’ (instead of +1/+1)
- Cthonian Strategos: Lower attack from 3 to 2
- Cthonian Companion: Change Resolution for Relentless
- Cthonian Hermes: Increase ability cost from 2 to 3 and lower Health from 8 to 7
