As the loyalists became closer to reaching Terra, the Night Lords deployed the vast majority of their forces in the Eastern Fringes. In their darkest fashion, they set in motion a savage campaign across the void, staining world after world in red. This seemingly maddened effort was not senseless though, and their truest intentions soon came to light.
Master of the Atramentar
The first objective of the Night Lords’ mission was to distract the Dark Angels from reaching the Imperial Capital and slow the loyalist’s defences. For this, they unleashed an unmatched tide of terror that engulfed every planet and moon they visited.
Sevatar surgically chose his objectives to spread death and terror as quickly as possible. This plan of action proved successful at catching the attention of the Dark Angels and luring them away from Terra. Follow Sevatar and his Atramentar in their journey to bring darkness to Thramas and torment to the fearless Sons of the Lion.
The Claw Master’s Plan
Another main objective of the Night Lord’s mission was to disrupt the Imperium’s capacity to restock. In the Eastern Fringe, the Thramas Sector was home to many Forge Worlds that would be brought to heel and turn to serve the Warmaster.
Among those who would bring darkness and death to the forge worlds of Thramas, Gendor Skraivok’s methods stood out as some of the most brutal in the Legion. For years he filled his lines with the worst of the Night Lords’ criminals and murderers, and war in the Eastern Fringes would now become a great test of his company’s particular skillset.
A Dark King’s madness
The last purpose for the Night Lord’s presence in the Thramas Sector was to humour their Primarch’s twisted sense of justice. Konrad Curze felt betrayed by the Imperium’s and his Father’s actions and set in motion a plan to hurt them.
After engulfing Thramas into the dark and luring the Dark Angels to the sector, Konrad sent his forces on full-scale assaults against the loyalists, giving them no respite. He led these assaults himself seeking to destroy that which would hurt the Imperium the most: one of his own brothers.
