“I do not need a Primarch to win this war.”
– Shadrak Meduson
Burned, broken, betrayed… Shattered. The survivors of Istvaan V did not vanish into silence—they regrouped in iron, shadow and fire. Iron Hands, Raven Guard, and Salamanders, once mighty Legions brought low by treachery, now stand united as something new. Not by doctrine, but by shared loss. Not by command, but by will alone. They are the Shattered Legions—and their war is not over.
The Shattered Legions join Warhammer The Horus Heresy: Legions as the newest faction in the Beta-Garmon expansion, rising from the ashes to strike back at the traitors who sought their end. The new faction becomes collectable on Thursday, 22nd May at around 16:30 pm UTC. Will you fight alongside the broken blades who refused to die? Read on to learn how to collect them!

New keyword: Expertise
Pushed by their desire for vengeance and justice, the ragtag warriors of the Shattered Legions have learned to adapt and get the most out of their limited resources better than any other Legion. Now trained to coordinate their very different approaches to warfare, the Shattered Legions are ready to strike.
Units with Expertise will trigger additional effects when you play a Tactic while they are in play. These warriors will take particular advantage of the Shattered Legion’s card pool, which features many ways to generate additional Tactics, such as the Augmetics that were originally introduced with the Iron Hands.

Shattered Legions warlords
Though many would deserve to lead the Shattered Legions into battle in-game, only three names will have the ability to do so at the time of release:
- Atesh Tarsa: Survivor of Isstvan V. Continued his Apothecary duties and the fight against Traitors aboard the Sisypheum.
- Nykona Sharrowkyn: A deadly swordsman and master infiltrator allegedly trained by Corax himself.
- Shadrak Meduson: Meduson took command of Isstvan V survivors and reorganised them into a flexible and effective fighting force.

How to start collecting them
There are many ways to collect Shattered Legions cards, especially during the first weeks after their release! Take a look at them:

New event: The Hunters and the Hunted
Test the new faction in a timed event focused on its struggles against the Warmaster’s forces, right after their arrival to the Beta-Garmon system! In the vast expanse between Delta-Garmon and Theta-Garmon, a Shattered Legions strike force led by Meduson attempts to cut a bloody swathe through the Warmaster’s supply lines.
Remember to complete the guaranteed “Win 3 matches” daily mission to unlock a free event run every day and kickstart your Shattered Legions collection. Every reward crate in the event contains at least 1 of the new cards!
